Weddings are an auspicious occasion. There are a lot of things involved here, too. For instance, the arrival and departure of the wedding procession is also an important part of the event of a couple’s wedding. The groom’s wedding procession also called “Baraat” in India, is where the groom sits on a well-decorated horse or in the car and arrives at the bride’s home (or the wedding venue) accompanied by families, relatives, friends, and guests. And after all the necessary rituals and traditional ceremonies are completed, both the groom and his bride leave for the groom’s home. This tradition has been followed for centuries and also passed on to younger generations, not only in India but in many countries as well.
While there are many folks that still consider using a horse or horse-driven chariot for the groom, most modern folks today, prefer a car, perhaps for better convenience. The groom’s car is properly decorated with flowers, real or artificial ones. This gives a pleasant feeling and appealing looks to complement a wedding occasion.
